Don't know where sub-forum where I posted before had disappeared.

https://www.rangefinderforum.com/settings/account page is so shitty.
It is messing with passwords, email and ignore list.
I have to change password second time now to be able to apply cahnges.
And it just dumps user name instead of email.
Ignore list is not working at all.

It would help if you explained in more detail what issues you are describing.

Which browser?

Did you try clearing cookies and logging in before making changes to your profile page?

I looked at mine, using Kostya's link. I made a couple of very minor changes, like "show latest posts" or something like that. When I clicked to apply the changes, it said, "email address must match." So I looked to see if it showed my correct email address, and it did. Under that, is a white field for changing my email address. In that field, already entered, was, not my email address, but my "Rob-F" RFF ID (which is not my email address). Is it supposed to be that way? Should I try to just delete that text and leave that field blank?

Google Chrome browser.

Sounds like someone screwed up entering the Database info during the turnover, putting information where there should have been none.

Not someone, something.

The auto transition from one DB format to the updated version did not go smoothly as promised.

That's why the posts from the old site are not searchable.

We are waiting on the software makers for the solution.

I don't think that's an issue with the website but with the browser; I'm using Vivaldi (built on the same engine, Chromium) and had the same problem. Basically, it looks like the browser looks at the account page, sees a form, and automatically tries to fill it in. The problem is it's putting the wrong data into the form, and unless you catch it, the forum software throws up an error.

I only realised what was happening when I clicked in that field you're referring to - seeing it had auto-populated with "coldkennels" instead of my email address - and it bought up Vivaldi's auto-fill password form.

Maybe this is something everyone will have to look out for.

Thank you, it feels cool to been approached by the head bartender.

I have multiple computers, FireFox or Chrome on Win 10 and supported iPhone with Safari.
I cleared the cookies at Win 10, Chrome one and it makes no difference. Dysfunctional Ignore list and acting up account page.
All I have to do is to open it, it shows as:

Click image for larger version Name:	RFS1.JPG Views:	0 Size:	12.1 KB ID:	4758654
And on hitting "save" it:
Click image for larger version Name:	RFS2.JPG Views:	0 Size:	6.7 KB ID:	4758655

Cleared cookies again and logged off, on - same.

Ko.Fe. , this is exactly what I was talking about above. The problem isn't the website - your browser is auto-filling the field intended for replacing the email address with your username, and clearing that field will allow you to save without an error.

How browser is auto-filling with cleared cookies?
And why it dumps my old password and then user name in the e-mail fieed?
Even if I already re-did it several times.

Looks like crooked forum's DB conversion. New engine reads old DB entries and dumps it into the wrong fields on account page, due to different than old fill-in by user fields layout and other problems, like not functioning ignore list.

That behaviour is nothing to do with cookies - it's caused/managed/handled by the browser's password manager. The only way to make it stop auto-filling at the user end would be to remove your saved RFF password information from the browser. I'm not sure what the user interface is like in Windows 10, but in any OSX browser, there's a "preferences" window, and the password manager is usually hidden in there. Searching in that password manager for rangefinderforum should find the troublesome entry which can then be removed. I've just done it on my browser and can confirm it fixes the problem. Of course, then I need to memorise the password and type it in by hand next time I log in, which isn't ideal.

It's nothing to do with the software running the site - that's not what's auto-populating that field, as described above. However, it does beg the question of why multiple browsers are thinking the "change email" field is the "account name" field.

Then three different browsers on three different devices and two different OS are doing the same, the blaming on browsers doesn't really cut anymore.
I had zero problems at same devices, browsers and OS with the old engine. So, nothing to do with browsers, but the engine update went s_h_i_f_t_y.
