Decades ago I worked for a lab that did about 10,000 orders a day. Wonder how many labs of that size world wide exist today.

He means just what he wrote: 10,000 orders. In a photo lab an order is whatever a single customer brings or sends in that day. Could be a single roll of film or could be 10 rolls from a wedding, or a bunch of negatives sent in for enlargements.

Off the top of my head, I'd guess that Dwayne's is probably the biggest in the US. Every Fuji prepaid mailer goes to them. Nevertheless, I doubt that they do 10,000 orders a day! Does anyone know what Kodak handled at their peak?
