Leica M10 with Summilux 75mm 1.4

Yesterday I used my M10 with the 75mm 1.4 Summilux. This lens brings out fine details in the water and sky in such images. I started out with a selfie in the mirror to remind myself which lens I was using so that filing images gets easier.I used LR5 to convert DNG files to JPG files. No other PS was done to any image file here.
There were a few Pelicans in addition to the smaller sea gulls. In some images I can see thousands of "things" stirring up the water (outside Joe Patti's Seafood Market), and small birds being mesmerized by it. The birds would glide over the water and hardly move then. They may had a super-fish-buffet.

This bird stayed at this spot, while (most likely) eating whatever was in the water there.

The pelicans moved a lot, so some shots were unsharp. My mistake.

Thank you Robert. I believe that this lens has the capability to separate between many different levels of light and colors. I never use filters with RF cameras, and no PS was used either.

Well, not an M10, but how about an M240 with the 75mm Summilux. I photographed a figure drawing session the other day. I managed to get a few pics I like. Probably at F2.0. ISO 3200.

Yep, the 75mm Summilux is one of my favorites. Focusing is critical when shooting wide-open or near it. Using a 1.25X viewfinder magnifier helps.

I have an electronic viewfinder (Olympus) for my M240. Works quite well too, but I was in a rangefinder-focusing mood when I took this pic.

They are selling at a discount nowadays. It has become indispensable using the 75 Summilux and 21 SEM. Also comes in handy with the "shifty" Contax Sonnars and Leica optics notorious for that regrettable attribute.

They used to cost around $600. Users reported a high battery consumption from it though. I will look for a discounted or used one.

Camera West recently had several that sold quickly at $355. Once the new EVF becomes available, the Leicamen will start flooding the market as they "trade up".

$355 is an excellent price for a Typ 020. I would have ordered one then. I need to keep my eyes open for some "Leicamen" as you call them.
