How much film do you keep at home?

Not shooting so much in these days, usually I have no more than 10-15 mix rolls. Should add 10-12 Impossible and tha last few Fuji FP-3000B 🙁 .
Now planning a short one week trip in the next days I ordered a few XP2 (due to logistic problems at home, work in progress I cannot develop myself) 10 rolls 135 and 10 rolls 120-

So total general speaking between 10 and 20, now around 50.

I once kept tight inventory control over my stored film. However, over the last few years, as my film inventory has dwindled, I had no idea how little film I had until my last inventory.

I only have enough large format black & white sheet film to last 3 to 5 years. I have a good supply of medium format 120 and 220 film that will be depleted within 2 years. I am totally out of 35mm film.

Since I do not need as much film as I once did and since I have not yet replaced the extra refrigerator that broke, I have been forced to store my remaining film in a cool basement.

I've just panic-bought 50 rolls of TriX in the old price. That brings the total of rolls in my fridge at around 210. An all-time high, I think. Should things go like that a bit longer, I'll be looking for a mini-fridge next.

Spreadsheet right now says I have 572 rolls in my mini fridge. When deals pop up on my favourite stuff I buy in bulk (like when B&H was selling 135 propacks of Provia 100F and Velvia 50 for $25).

But, yeah, I remember your photography from other threads. You are doing just fine with digital.

Still can only say "some" with any accuracy, but less than I used to per my 2014 response on this thread. I order polaroid film when my stock drops below three packs in SX-70 or 600 speed, and order two three-packs of each when I do. Similarly, I order 120 when I have less than a pro pack of XP2 or HP5 left, and usually order another pro pack. I've got five rolls of washi-120 left, I'm going to order another dozen rolls of that soon ... I've used seven rolls since 2017. I have much more 35mm on hand than I've used in a similar time period, I'll order ten rolls when what I have drops under that mark.

I see no point to stockpiling lots of film any more. I use such a tiny bit of it, despite how many film cameras I use, that it wouldn't matter if the price was triple what I usually pay for it. As long as it is available, I'll keep shooting with it—particularly Polaroid.

I've gravitated mostly to spooling my own rolls in 35mm and that keeps the storage space relatively small. We have about 1200' of 35mm (B&W), plus another 100 or so commercial rolls in color and old EFKE. Then another 50-60 in MF. So that's about 200-300 rolls. We shoot about 200 a year, so we have 1 -- 1 1/2 years worth. Recently committed to run down the stock before buying more, but I tend to buy a bulk roll or so, every time I purchase chemicals, whether I really need it not. We'll use it. Got to keep Freestyle in business!!!

Here in the Vancouver area we can still buy Fujifilm Superia 200 at London Drugs.
$30 (CAD) for 3x36 exposure. Most recent pack expires 10/2022.
Every week when I am in my local store I pick up another pack and put it in the freezer.
Love this film shot at EI100.
I must have 7 packs in the freezer now and it is the only one I have been shooting this summer.
I must still have 125 rolls of other films in the freezer beside the Superia though.
Slightly more than half of the cache is Acros (original) bought in April 2018 when it was discontinued.

time goes on. what I shoot in film varies. 35mm ... 10-20 rolls. 120 ... 5 to 20 rolls. Polaroid ... 10 to 20 packs. I refresh those whenever I see the numbers dip below 5.

Minox 8x11 ... I still have 40 to 50 factory spooled rolls. That will last a long time yet. And I have two slitters ...

I voted 11-20, though I may have over 20 all told. A selection of 35mm of various types, including some hoarded gold, i.e. Kodak gold (eyeroll, sarcasm, frustration at the price of consumer color films), my standby HP5+, some Fomapan and Fuji Acros II.

My inventory has crossed over the 50 mark because I’ve tended to replace each roll used with two more.

I just shot my last pack of Polaroid/Impossible color film and I have one B&W pack left and then it’s all gone. My Polaroid 1200i never had a problem with this film; I think the Spectra cameras that did have a problem is because the film battery pack needs more voltage for the Spectra ejection motor.

I have 18 packs both of FP-100C and FP-3000B - the color packs will be shot this year.

Oddly, I have 10 boxes of Provia in 120 format which I bought about seven years ago. I haven’t shot transparency film since 1978. I have no idea how I’m going to view these little photos, as I have no projector
