It doesn't appear she has any way to fix the flat...not seeing a tool bag on her bike...hopefully the event staff were able to get her back on the road...

Hi Sam!

When I left the scene she had her bike flipped upside down on the side of the road and was removing the rear wheel. I think one of her own support group (friends/family?) was getting her what she needed. I went to the transition site to take some pictures and when I returned a few minutes later she was gone! I assumed she was back on the road.

BTW, this was the Yokohama International Triathlon held last weekend.

All the best,
Mike

Nice looking bike. Perhaps a fixed gear track bike, judging by the (clamp-on?) front brake caliper and no rear brake?

Hi Dourbalistar! Yes, it’s a track bike. They’re not quite as popular as they once were but it’s still not uncommon to see one on the street. It’s always fun to see a track bike rider get stopped at a red light and watch them go into their balancing act so they don’t have to put a foot on the ground. Some of the riders are really good at it.

All the best,
Mike

This negative must've gotten bent or something. Maybe not enough chemical. This was one of the first 35mm rolls I shot and developed. Any way I could sort that out? Thanks for lookin!

It will take a deft hand in a pixel editor but you could certainly blend that strip nicely. It's a lovely photo regardless ... the strip does not distract me. 🙂

Thanks, Godfrey! This was from when I first started snapping a few years ago. I had moved back to NY to sober up after booze kicked my butt. After many train rides and long walks with either a book or journal, I decided a camera would be a better companion!
Thanks for the guidance and kind words!
