In the early 2000s, we used these cameras in our architecture office. Great fun and very capable cameras.

Love these cameras!

Btw, I am looking for a 950 for parts as my battery door has finally failed on me. 🙂

We had one at work because of the close focus ability, which was helped by the swivelling screen section
It was quite a capable camera for our purpose at the time

With all the new software we all are using, the images are pretty darned nice now and they were good for the time, indeed!🤬😃

950 was my first digital. Loved that camera. The closeup and twisting body was super useful for taking pictures under the hood of a car (or under a car) to document an install or repair.

Ah, you found out one of my secrets over the years.🙂

My 995 was my first digital camera. Shot an awful lot of pictures with it over the years. I still have it but last time I had a good battery for it it had trouble reading the CF card. I replaced it with a D80 after my wife asked if it was about time to get a newer camera.
Yes, I too took a lot of photos of cars and work on cars as it could see things I couldn't. I kind of miss using it, but, not enough to invest in a battery for it or finding out what the problem is with the CF card. It made one trip back to Nikon for replacement of the on/off switch and came back looking and acting like a brand new camera afterwards.
