It is interesting to have the contextual text rather than "just" the photographs, well worth reading.
2000, first Edition First printing.
There is a reprint from 2008 by Bardwell Press and a 2001 re-print by Devon.

This is fairly unusual in the UK so I was fortunate to find one in an Amnesty Bookshop who patently don't cruise ABE books or E-bay.
The expected high quality printing from Aperture.
The previous book rate from the USA has gone and it is now fairly prohibitive to buy from there.
ABE list a copy from IL USA for £8-18 but P&P is £28.60, some quote around £10 and this is a small light book as photobooks go.
This is the hardback from 1987 first edition was 1981 but not in the Masters Series. I think there was a 1988 reprint
For some reason the sellers on ABE list it as 1899 [sic].

I also have my eye on a copy of Canon Rangefinder Cameras 1933-68 Dechert at a price that doesn't seem to be the usual fantasy number.

Cool, I have the special magazine edition of American Geography and wish I had this regular edition instead… it’s just not book shelf friendly: American Geography Magazine (signed) — Matt Black

Any book recommendations for Daido's work? I am looking to buy some books from a Japan bookstore (bulk buy to justify shipping) and they have dozens of books by him. I don't know which to go with.
In keeping with the thread:
Sam Abell The Life of a Photograph
Koudelka Exiles
and just ordered Ed Templeton's Wires Crossed
Lots of good books to add to the library this year.

Not specifically Daido but I found this an excellent read placing that whole era in context that I as an outsider knew so little of. I see it is now commanding a premium price though.Any book recommendations for Daido's work? Notwithstanding the fact that I no longer have space for any more books, I just ordered this today. Friedlander won out over the new Koudelka, the recent Moriyama, the Robert Frank/Todd Webb and the upcoming Eggleston.
