If you shoot some frames with the ‘1966’ with specular highlights in the out-of-focus, can you make a post about it please? In another thread LLL 50mm f/1.2 ASPH "1966" we were wondering about the manufacturing and how the specular highlights would look.

70mm Plus X dated 1981 processed in Legacy Mic-X straight and replenished. Old and outdated it is great as you can see, the original real deal! I have a lot of this and I love it. 100mm F3.5 black T* Planar 500C/M. Hedgeapple tree in my back yard

Leica M7, Voigtlander 50mm f/2 Heliar LTM, Eastman-5222, Xtol 1:1.
I picked the Heliar up from a fellow forum member. It's a fun lens...need to use it more.

Thank you. It’s with the first version f1 Noctilux, the one that takes e58 filters and the 12519 hood. Sometimes the soft-sharp appearance and out of focus rendering are just perfect. Often, the out-of-focus rendering in particular, is not. I haven’t used mine much since it came back from Leica focusing ok but with the infinity setting way off - this happened when they fixed a worn out focusing helicoid.I love this shot. Wich Noctilux did you use?
You can get a look like this very much more consistently with the 75 Summilux or the 80 Summilux-R, but the f1 Noctilux has a way of providing really good shadow contrast on film even when it is not exposed at less than ISO speeds that the longer Summiluxes do not have. On digital you can adjust to taste.
