Great shirt. Mike, I’d love to hear how the GFX 100S II compares to the 50R and other cameras you’ve tried, particularly the autofocus and how well the face/eye recognition works if you’ve tried it.

Hello Marty, and thank you.

I picked up the camera last week and the next day my wife and I went on a 4 day trip. I didn't take the GFX100SII with me because I was trying to travel light. Yesterday was the first chance I had to take it out and take some pictures, mainly I wanted to make sure it worked and that there weren't any problems with it. It was a lousy day; heat, humidity, hazy bad light, but I didn't want to wait any longer to test it out, so, out I went for a couple hours of shooting. The camera handled the heat and humidity better than I did.

Initial reaction compared to the GFX50R: auto-focus and tracking are vastly improved on the GFX100SII. I really like my GFX50R and I plan to keep it and continue to use it but I feel like comparing it to the GFX100SII is just not fare. It's like comparing an older dependable family car to a new Bentley.

Anyway, after using it some more I'll post pictures and comments.

All the best,
Mike
