Sticky Bessa-R back surface: the solution

Years ago, I used an automobile plastics restorer (Armor All) to coat rubberized coverings after cleaning them with 91% IPA. But the coverings on my Nikon N90s were so gummy it all came off with just the alcohol. However, I was able to save the printed markings denoting the different functions of the camera by covering them with some clear tape and working the IPA lightly around the edges, so it didn't run underneath the tape.

Used 90% isopropyl alcohol with perfect results..... In Oregon where I never checked to see if we're allowed to buy Everclear. Last time I did that I was living in New Mexico......a great state, but don't go there.

"Half pints are for wimps!"
Not so. Real alcoholics buy half pints specifically so that they cannot end up drinking a whole pint or more.

A « good » point (though I struggled to find a better word than good). My cheap laugh was at the expense of a sad situation. I’m sure many people have died from this stuff.

Everyone goes there, particularly for the green chile/Everclear martinis. And yes, that's the correct spelling (here in NM) for those beloved little peppers!

I know those chiles very well. Living in southern NM means a trip to Hatch at least once a year 😎. Never combined the Everclear with chiles, though. Or.....not that I can remember....
