It's wonderful that you have this photo. It would be personally evocative of that time and feeling.
I just drove home from conducting interviews for a work project, and coincidentally, the subjects were staying near my old workplace from 25 years ago. On the last day of work back then, I had been let go from a job I'd held for a couple of years, and was in shock as I hadn't seen it coming. I said my goodbyes to the many friends I'd made and drove home in a daze, and unconsciously took off my name tag and dropped it in the console. I had never taken off my name tag on the way home before. As I drove home this afternoon, I passed along the very same road that was my way home in those days, and through the intersection where I took off my name tag. It seems kind of fitting that this topic comes up almost exactly 25 years on. Please excuse my ramble, haha.
