The gentleman above is in "Western wear". He looks good, with a great sense of style, and to a certain extent it's a look I like and cultivate. But where I live, in rural New Mexico, we do have cowboys; they tend to be pretty rough around the edges, as hard-working men tend to be, and would regard this fellow with an eye-roll and a two-word dismissal: "Santa Fe". Ouch.
There's a frequently used phrase for this: "All hat and no cow."
I suppose I'm just a bit tetchy about my friends, my neighbors, and a marginal culture that often gets imitated but is usually misunderstood.
