That thing certainly has some stories to tell!Recently CLA'd Nikon F with a well-used 105mm f2.5View attachment 4860209
I've used Nikons & Leica for decades and never put anywhere near that much wear on them. Nikon finishes are virtually bullet proof. When I saw that one for $46....I couldn't resist.... & the glass is in pretty clean shape. Indeed the stories & the miles.....That thing certainly has some stories to tell!
Best Nikon ever. IMHO, of course.
I agree. The F90x a second close.Best Nikon ever. IMHO, of course.
For me, it's all about the analog controls on the F4. Intuitive manual control when you wanted it, full automation when you didn't. Genius!I agree. The F90x a second close.
I think, people need to use the F4 for some time in order to appreciate it. At first it feels like a big heavy camera with relatively slow AF.For me, it's all about the analog controls on the F4. Intuitive manual control when you wanted it, full automation when you didn't. Genius!
My first was a Miranda G. Traded it for a SRT101 about 1974. Still use the Minolta!!
I always wondered who stole lens mount shutter speeds idea from whom - nikon vs olympus. My Nikkormat FT2, most reliable SLR camera I've ever owned and will probably out live me!
