Please don't remind me, I missed one a couple of months ago by half an hour on my local classifieds for £20! With a 50mm!!!
That's heartbreaking! Where do you find local classifieds? I check the local craigslist camera ads every day but there is never anything good listed. I'm not on Fakebook so no FB Marketplace for me.

Yes, it seems like most of the local classified advertising has shifted to FB Marketplace. But if inability to access that is the price of refusing to bend the knee to Lord Zuckerberg, I will happily pay it. [Just being a bit colorful with my words and not judging anyone who is on FB.)

Just another option as we do have Gumtree also but that's owned by Ebay....It's like anything really, it's how it's used for ones own purpose.

Apart from my friends feeds this is all I see. 😉

Only camera I ever regret selling is a black paint Nikon F from '63. One of those "Black 64's." Think the serial number was 649 something or another. Since then I've seen a few other. Not common but I wouldn't call them rare either. Steve's website speculates that about 1000 or so black were made in that first 100,000 block of F's. Anyway, it was such a smooth camera, nicely brassed. Sometimes another black F creeps into my desires, so cool looking, and the F so historical, but I mostly shoot wides and that's really the 0.72 M's.

My favourite SLR, mid-'60s Nippon Kogaku badged F. I have a few of the chrome nose lenses.

One of these days, i'll make a 16"x20" of this negative....nothing quite like a larger than life F.....might do the M4 as well....

Thanks for the temptation. All I need is another camera. It's not the monetary investment, Nikon stuff is dirt cheap compared to Leica gear, but my pictures are better when I don't have too much stuff. Sometimes think my best photography was when I had only a Leica M and 35mm lens -- multiples of the camera and focal length but it allowed me just to focus on taking pictures. It's amazing how much muscle memory you develop just by using the same focal length over and over. Still, an early black F with the old logo ... iconic. And I love those old Non-ai Nikkors with B&W film.

These Minolta SLR Lenses are Just beautiful...
( i use it on my Fujifilm APSC Camera, w a Fotasy Chinese adapter, 75mm F1.7 Eqv)

I'd forgotten how fortunate I am to have been able to afford this camera when I found it. It feels good just to handle it.
You have the "Hills and Valleys" version of the 58f/1.4. It is a very interesting lens although quite unpredictable. I have taken some great shot a with it and other times flare seems to mess up everything.

If you ever come across the MD 50f/1.4 grab it. It is a much more consistent lens, sharp from f/1.4 and handles flare better.

I've actually got two of the fluted lenses. Thanks for the reco on the 50 1.4, I've had my eye open for one but have yet to pull the trigger on one. I also have the 1.7 like @Taipei-metro shows in his post above. It hasn't seen as much use as the 58's though since I haven't had it very long.
