new Pixii Max (fullframe)

Fluorescent especially. The lights flicker at 50hz.

Only in the benighted countries. LOL Here it is 60Hz and I have not caught that error. But that could well be that I haven't shot under fluorescents and you have. I may have gotten by because 1) I shoot about zero inside at night and 2) when I did it was under incandescent.

Here is a shot into a darkened room in the evening at 1/750.

Most photos made in artificial light suck regardless of the brand of camera. The best solution is simply to find better light.
A good proportion of my paid work these days is live music and stage photography. I have no choice but to shoot under artificial light. And if well done it can be quite transcendent.

The camera might not be able to do anything, but the photographer can. A shutter speed of 1/60 (in NTSC countries) or 1/50 (in PAL countries) or a multiple thereof will clear up the banding.
The photographer can't do much in a mixed lighting condition where street-lights, building lights and electronic billboard lights all have different refresh rates.

I like my Pixii a lot and must send it in for the RF and sensor upgrade. I have had it for a while now and suffered the uninformed criticisms when I first got it. That has pretty much died down now. It has its quirks unlike other cameras none of which have quirks. LOL And it does deliver a nice image and has sweet color, mine is the A2572.

My jaundiced opinion is that if the folks had claimed the camera were Swiss rather than French it would have had an easier entry into the market. We are talking a few miles to the border from an area of France that does high precision fabrication. But we have our hangups.

How's the banding issues etc, I like the idea of it as a visually appealing bit of kit, but I've been burned by the Sigma FP having terrible banding issues whilst shooting low light, murdered some potentially amazing pics.

For now my M mount of choice is the Epson R-D1

To be honest, egad!, I have not shot Pixii recently. It is in some safe place in my house that I have yet found. Yeah, as you may have guessed, I am not neat. I'll try and find it and take it out and shoot later today.

That said I have had good luck with it when not shooting LED lights. Here are a few. I will be shooting more soon.

I have some inside under LED at 1/125 which show no banding. So, when I find Pixii A2572 I will shoot some with it and a string under LED at various shutter speeds and report back. I was just looking at some color shots and while I am biased I find the soft colors accurate and more like the X2D than the M9.

But let me do some work with Pixii over the next few days and let you know. If you have a lens you would lke me to use just let me know. The SBS is out on loan so that is off the table. The Amotal is nice and the CV 35 works well. I also have a very nice 35 CV Ultron which is a lot nicer lens that write-ups say. Or a Sonnar, whatever. 35's work well with the APSC sensor but choose what you want. I believe the banding would be the same on APSC and FF. Note it resolves well APSC at high ISO's.

Just write your name under Ben Franklin's picture and mail it off to me. ROTFLMAO

Yeah it would be good to get some of your impressions/pics in very dodgy lighting, I tend to shoot at night in very mixed lighting situations most of the time with mainly artifical lighting as I am a sucker for moody street photog sessions. I use the VM 35mm f2 Ultron and Topcor-s 5cm f2, I want a 28mm but I need to wait for the price drops on the thypoch lenses.

IIRC, I got a pretty good deal on the 50mm Simera. I used a link on Matt Osborne's YT page. I like the lens a lot.

About the Pixii A2575 shots, I think there are the same limitations with LED's on APSC and FF. If I am wrong someone please correct me.
