Are there 1,000 missing serial numbers for the Nikon S?

Sorry a newbie question for the experts: Are there 1,000 missing serial numbers for the Nikon S?
I collect early Nikon RF since 35 years and have about 2,000 items in my fund. 500 cameras most I,M,MS, 600 early lenses, and, and....
As is known the serial numbers for the Nikon S 609 ends with 609 9999. After the 609 8-digit serial numbers for Type I and Type II, they switched to the 610 xxxx series. I haven't been able to find any Nikon S cameras with a serial number between 610 0000 and 610 0999, only starting with 610 1xxx.
Is this just a coincidence and I am mistaken, or is there a gap of 1,000 serial numbers?
This might be a question for our friend Mr. Rotoloni😉.
Does anyone own a camera within this range?

It is our understanding that type one 8 digits are much earlier than type two.

In my database the first 610 camera I have verified is 6101238. Nothing else between 60911230 and 6101238. Very interesting, isn't it??

type 1 8 digits are early in s production some are occupied japan, 2nd versions are more common in 60910xxx to 60912000 era, I've seen about 14 of the 1st version, Jim
