Funny, I was just thinking about my grandfather's old car, which was a white Comet with (IIRC) a red interior. Not a lavish spender, his likely was a base model, but he was also a mechanic who liked his cars spotlessly clean.
356B Karmann notchback. Now very rare and desirable, but years ago were regularly converted into cabriolets by removing the welded on hardtop.
I don't think this is a '59, closer to a '64 or so. Fender crease along the top of the fender is too sharp for '59.1959 Chevy Impala, 4.6L V8
