Anybody name their cameras?

In another thread in the Leica M section someone mentioned they named their camera. Its something I've never thought of, but it makes sense to do. I'm just curious, has anyone else named their camera, and if so what is it?

Sorry if this is a repeat topic.
 
No, I'm not good at remembering names anyway.

Plus, it would be weird if I had one hanging down my neck; looked down and asked "how you doing Johnny?". People might get weird ideas.
 
Does "You #$%$ing piece of $%&*!!!" count? I've often applied that name to cameras on an ad-hoc basis when the film wouldn't take up or rewind, shutter would jam, etc...
 
Yes, I name my two M6s "Barbie and Ken" but then I have to keep them in two separate bags, usually carry them on separate shoulders with both of my hands holding tight on the bag covers so they don't flirt with each other. But then this usually leaves me no hands to shoot any real pictures, therefore, my gallery is empty.
 
wtl, maybe you should have left them alone for a little while, you might have ended up with one of those Minox mini-Leicas......
 
I have to confess, I do have one camera that I've given a name to. My Fujica G690 MF RF. I call it "Big Fuji." It is like six pounds of steel and glass around my neck. Pretty boring, I know.

No. This is a little too weird. I recall a guy on another list (the CameraQuest Cosina Voigtlander Group) who would always refer to his Bessa as "she" or "her" and I thought that was a bit much.
 
I have too many cameras to give them all a distinct name.

I did have an old rusty Subaru once that I called "Bessie" cause it was a cantakerous as an miner's old mule!
