Ya.. I know; I should be writing more about the benefits of film or how great rangefinder photography is or the awesmoness of HCB, Ansel, Winogrand, Weston and a host of others but instead I note that RFF has, of late, a lot of REALLY nice gear for sale in the uses classifieds.

A host of MP's, M7's, M6's and even a Nikon S3 have all been posted in the last few weeks.

Not to mention the ASPH 'crons, ZM's and various other great glass that's been showing up lately as well.

I know that we had sort of designated September as the month to sell gear but WOW... if there ever was a time to get a deal on some good used gear it looks like this is it.

I am currently happy with what I have (note that I said currently ) :D and I'm not in the market for any more gear but man it's good to see some high end stuff show up on the used market :)

Almost all of that stuff I can't afford. :(

Being able to afford it is not a nice thing. Like you and joe mentioned after I found that M2 for my gf, and so it begins.

Seriously, I want an M2 now. I have the money for it. I'm looking all over Ebay and everywhere else. You ***** afflicted me with this curse! Note, the previous set of stars.. is actually a set of stars :)

I'm pining for a Leica M2, repainted black by someone like Shintaro. I'll either have to buy an M2 and send it off to be repainted or buy a repainted one, but that's almost impossible to find.

So I have GAS, and I blame it on these forums. I seem to be going backwards though.. from an M6 TTL to an M2? Wha?

As soon as the M3 comes back from CRR, I will give you a review. Hopefully very very soon. They do have a very good reputation and although still a long wait not quite the mammoth one for Shintaro.

Okay, since Joe asked for something... :p

I'm still looking around for a Spotmatic. A lens will be coming to me eventually, but I'm still trying to find a body. :(

Appreciate it, Kim. I want a nice black paint that I can brass up over the course of my life. Pre-brassed is okay, but not too much brassing ;)

How long is the CRR wait?

Joe,
A guy at work asked me to find a home for his OM10 with adapter and 2 lenses. One is a 200/3.5. I think the other is a Vivitar 28 on a T mount if any is of interest.

You've got a great body Steph, in that Canon P.

I need the Spotmatic for something you guys won't see much of: photos of food for my food blog. I'm posting lots of recipes in the next few weeks and I want to take photos of the things that I'm putting recipes up for. The rangefinder just isn't suited for that kind of thing. The lens won't focus close enough. :(

So yeah, here's me needing an SLR again. And I thought I'd *never* really need one.

The camera went to them about 6 months ago but that was because I was sold a pup on that place and needed an estimate. The sunmmer hols also got in the way. You can normally book a slot which at the moment is about 3 months. The body is then stripped before going off for the paint job. AFIK, it is usually with them for about 2 months.

In case you haven't seen their work http://www.angelfire.com/biz/Leica/page3.html
