Allright so I'm still trying to get some sort of provisional rangefinder system going to replace my leica m (gone forever) Money is very short, so I'm strongly considering a russian system, I like there purity. However my worries are with consistency, I travel a lot and would hate to lose shots because of camera problems. So I thought I'd ask you guys what you think of my ideas thus far.
1.) Kiev II or 4am (they have a real nice black one at Fedka) with 50 mm lens maybe I'd buy a 50 1.5 jupiter 3, does anyone have any comments on the 1.5?
2.) Fed 2 with the 3.5 they send it with at Fedka, and also I'd maybe try to buy the ltm jupiter 1.5, once again how's this lens?
3.) Fed 2 with a fast voigtlander lens if I can swing the budget. How do the voigtlanders couple with the Fed?
4.) going backwards now a Voigtlander R body, with the fastest Jupiter or other russian lens I can find, probably once again the Jupiter 1.5
Obviously options 1 and 2 are the most economical which is what I would perfer, but how will the quality be? will I be able to consistently shoot color positve film if I so desire? I think if I buy any of the russian guys I'll buy from fedka to maintain some quality control. The advantage of the Fed over the kiev is the LTM I suppose. Anyway you guys are the best and your advice is always helpful so I'd thought I'd run these ideas by you so I can make this decision fast and get on the road, take pictures again and actually be able to help people out with there posts.
Thanks
