M-grip for M3 DS

Hi

I would like to add a grip to my M3 DS early production (#750xxx).
When I tried the one M-grip on hand, which fits later M models, I started to realize that the tripod mount is of the larger thread variety. So the M grip on hand (pun intended) does not fit.
Are there any special grips for the early DS M3 or adapters for the larger tripod thread?

You should be able to find a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter at a camera shop which will then let you mount the grip.
