I've got to tell you this before a shocked member of the public reports it to you.
I started ...er... umm......taking my Color Skopar for the odd day out. It seems to like my Zorki 5 so I couldn't see the harm. Now it seems there is no going back. The poor old J12 is in the dark, in its little box, bet the damn thing is flaring away even in there whilst I am strutting my stuff with younger shapely glass.
Had the digi out for a few classifieds and thought that your GAS could do with a kick start. Not fair, eh?
Mixed kit? Am I feeling guilty yet???? Nah!
Dave...
(sorry)

The best camera is one that still works!
A Zorki with a Colour Skopar ... the Zorki will never forget the experience I'm sure! ;-)

Do we call that a "May-December romance?"
I plan to keep a FED-2 loaded with ISO 1600 film in my bag at all times. When the very low light needs arises, it'll get the 35mm ultron or 50mm nokton to wear.

Seems that a bit of mixed kit is not so unusual, big glass too, nice.
Noel, I hadn't though of selling the J12 yet, after all how could I join in the "my J12 does this-n-that, what can I do?" threads if I don't have one. Mandatory I would have thought, even in a box. But you must have one. You might have to risk the "I'm-not-a-photographic-expert-but-it-looks-alright-to-me" sellers again....

Incidentally, I bought a J12 KIEV fit, from that very seller only recently, got it cheap too. Mint condition with a screw missing from the mount ring, Oh and a lump of glass missing from the side of the inside face of the outer lens. Boy did I get a bargain!
Don't need such a lens do you?

It's odd. I put FSU lenses on my bessa all the time, but it's never occured to me to put CV glass on a Fed. Has never even crossed my mind. I have the 35mm and 28mm Skopars ... I'll have to try one on my Fed 3 when it comes back from fedka. I think they'll like it ...

I'm selling off a fair amount of my kit, some of it is now in the classified section, FED2a I10, J11, Konica. Maybe I should think of selling the J12, Zorki 4K and. .and.

The Konica is gorgeous. (Of course you've photographed it beautifully.) Makes my Auto S2 look like it needs a bath.
