Well today seemed like any other day untill 5:15 this afternoon. A few weeks ago I had entered a raffel with the Leica Historical Societies annual contest. I've been a member off and on for afout thirty five years and have entered the raffel many times. I purchased a book of 5 raffel tickets and sent them in. This afternoon I received a call that I had won 2nd prize, a new LHSA hammertone MP .72x with 35 F2 summicron asph and leicavit winder. I darn near fell in the floor! I just had to share the great news.

Wow, what luck indeed! And with this MP being second place I dare to ask what the first place prize is!
I'm anxious to see pictures of it and from it.

All fine prizes! Wow, it's nice to have some luck like that!
My gosh, what a hell of a second place prize though...I mean, we are talking about an AWESOME prize you got there. Not only a stupendous camera, but a stupendous lens (and then they throw in the Leicavit on top of it).
And, I just looked up the uncommon (dare I say rare) hammertone versions. Talk about BEAUTIFUL finishing! And virtually unscratchable! Wow.
Total congratulations. I feel your elation somehow.

That's wonderful. Now, you have a naughty 35mm Summilux that is just itching to come live with my other lenses
