Just got the new 'Rangefinder' magazine and the cover was shot by Daniel Kramer of Bob Dylan in the 60's with a Nikon SP. Longer article inside. Very nicely done. Of course 'Rangefinder' magazine is NOT about rangefinder cameras! False advertising.

Isn't Dylan holding Kramer's SP on the cover of "Highway 61 Revisited"?

I don't know what brand of camera or whose it is, but someone standing behind Dylan is holding a RF on the cover of that CD, LP, etc...

I can't remember who it is, but someone on RFF uses a picture of Dylan holding a Nikon RF as an avatar.

Whoops, I guess is must be a leica!

That's definitely a SP on the cover of Highway 61 Revisited. Shame that Bob isn't holding it.

it is the LP cover with Dylan sitting down wearing a Triumph motor cycle T shirt under his bluish open shirt with a guy in the background wearing a 1960s orange stripped T shirt with an Nikon SP dangling by the strap, while the strap holding hand is supported by his trouser pocket .
cool album.

Which all goes to show that, whatever his taste in music, he did know a good camera when he saw one.

One matter hasn't been addressed. Someone mentioned that Rangefinder magazine isn't about rangefinders. Then what IS it about???

I took the liberty of lifting CVBLZ4's Reagan's avatar pic ... I've always though it was a really cool avatar shot. :D

Another cool "album cover with camera" is a 1970's Tim Weisberg album (he is a jazz flute player) where Tim is holding a gorgeous black Nikon F with standard prism finder.

Any others?

It's about commercial professional photography in general, which nowadays means a lot of digital. :(
