I took this picture and im adding it to my Bali, Indonesia portfolio...
I have this striking similar picture, one in black & white , other in color. Can only put one ( two of the same man in almost in the same position would be repetitive ).
Although I'm a black and white fan, I do fancy the color version of this picture.
Can you guys help me decide ?
btw : cores.jpg = color , pretoebranco.jpg = black and white
Cheers,
Goncalo

The color version is so monochromatic that it works nicely either way.
Since you specifically mention wanting to include it in a portfolio, you might want to decide based on how it looks in relation to other photos near it. For example, if your other pictures are all brightly colored, the color version might look too muted, while the b&w version would stand out by contrast. Likewise, if most of your pictures are b&w, the subtly colored version might add a nice accent.

I think the pose and composition of the colour shot make it significantly better.

Overweight and over here
Well it's a personal thing of course...but the color version works best for me - though I would bleach the colors even a tad more...and agree with jlw about how it 'sits' with the rest of the portfolio...
Very nice shot btw.
Very nice shot btw.

I'm not one for color, but this one looks very subtle and would work great with other b&w photos as jlw stated.
Also I like how he has a bit more room on the left in the color version.

.
The color version offers a lot of atmosphere while the B&W one shows much more character in the gentleman.
