flickr account question

I paid for the pro account and my understanding is that its pretty much unlimited uploads. I only wish I could change the colors of the way the page is displayed.

Hmmm..

That would be interesting.. I'm thinking the same way Akiva's thinking.
You'd be able to have access to your FULL SIZE images no matter where in the world you were as long as you had access to the net.

interesting.. and I only JUST decided to start using my Flickr account.

I have a "pro" account and I think the max size you can upload is 10mb. As for the offsite backup, it does give me a little sense of security.

I hadn't thought of the backup potential, but was considering it because I've bumped against the 200 image display limit. You also can have more sets, which is not a big factor for me, because I have set equivalents on pbase. I expect I'll go for the pro in the next little while.
 
I'm planning on getting a pro account as well. Was going to do it now and get one for my fiance as well, but I just lost one of my jobs so money is kinda tight right now. Hopefully next month! It will be her birthday on the 12th of March so we shall see..

Hope she hasn't started reading here! :p
 
I got a "pro" account a while back but i rarely use it now - if i post new work i tend to do it on Ball Saal or Deviant Art. Flickr seems so big now
 
The good thing about flickr is its social side, and the ability to "tag" photos, web 2.0-style. However, its greatest weakness is its lack of display layout/design control. In my opinion, flickr is not a great gallery, but it is a great way to share photos.

I have a pro account. I just really like flickr and I don't want the 200 pics and 3 sets limit that the free account has.
 
If you shoot a decent amount of digital photos, look at the pro account as a form of backup. It is only $25 a year. If you spend enough time trying to show photos to friends and family over the internet, it really is worth it. After I realized the convenience of that, I bought two years in a heart beat.
 
i recently renewed my pro account.

my only qualm is that you have to renew to get access to your old photos. So once you become pro, you are relatively stuck.
 
i like flickr and it does seem very social, so much so that i have a hard time keeping up but i was hoping to find a nicer place to put up a gallery.
