This is a great article about Magnum Photographer Alex Majoli switching from using Leica Rangfinders to digital point and shoot cameras for his professional photography work which included some work for National Geographic. I would just cut and paste the entire article over here but I dont want to break any rules of the forum, Plus it will give Rob a few more hits for his website.
One of the more interesting things are his final comments on what he would like to see adapted into digital point and shoot cameras, I believe Sigma must of read his mind. The entire article is a must read for anyone who works with both digital and film cameras.

No DSLR?!?! No "digitally-equipped" hyperzoom?!?! That guy must be off his rocker!

Interesting article with some good points. Of course, at the end he
says that his dream camera " would be ..... no bigger than a leica,
with interchangeable lenses " to allow for wider apertures. Hmmmm.
Now what might fill those requirements ?
