Hi,
My film tansport lever snaps back from time to time and hits the accessory shoe is this a design flaw or what?? my M3 and M6 never touch the shoe ??? I guess possitive part of this is faster brassing !!! lol
thanks

Happens with my MP and it has actually very slightly dented the accessory shoe.

I've read about this elsewhere here. I think there's a fix for it...

Mine does this too. Any idea what that fix is?

No I don't - I don't have an MP. I do recall that the MP lever is slightly longer I think. I would try some keywords in the search engine.

If you dont let go it wont snap back... some birds hop others like crows waddle.
You can alter your thumb action or fit the M4 style lever.

I believe it's by design -- on M3s (and I thought M2s also) the film advance lever would hit the shutter speed dial. Look for small nicks on the shutter speed dials of some M3s and you'll see why they went for the accessory shoe instead.
I don't let go of the lever myself, but I imagine a small bit of tape on the end of the lever would pad it sufficiently.
