RF's ROCK!andFilm RULES!!
I must say, like a lot of RF newbies I felt akward using this lens at first, having to guess with the focusing and all that. But, I am very surprised and delighted with the resluts.
I shot these at the Salt Lake City Public Library, it's a great place to go and to photograph.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.
Thanks for looking!

It's a fun lens, isn't it, Brian... I like that first one of the stairway twisting around and around, and the two figures on the steps help humanize the scene.

Nice shots Brian. The 25mm can take a bit to get used to, but you seem to have done just fine with it. One of the things that gave me the most trouble initially was getting horizons straight. The lens is a lot of fun though. Look forward to seeing more work with it!

Hey Brian,
Both are excellent! Wonderful detail in
the library shot. You could post one or
both in the Gallery.

Thanks Mike!
The first one was already there, so I added the other and a third in my gallery.

That was my 1st lens for my R2. It is a fun and the interesting perspective that it can bring is compelling.
This shows well in your 1st shot. and the 2nd shows that it can cover a lot it needed. I like the large mutton's windows. Very stately.

Man, I have to get one of these lens when the lady is on vacation during spring break.
Brian, those libary shots are real cool. Tell me, did you have any strange looks shooting in the library? I was walking around a local public library recently with my canonet, and I swore the desk people and the security guard were staring me down.

Not that I recall.
The first one was shot outside, and the second one I did kind of quickly. I had been sitting in a spot for a bit, focused to infinity stood up and snapped a few frames.
Thanks for your comments everyone!
I am really enjoying this forum and using a RF.

It seems to me that the 25/4's dedicated VF is good enough for carefully
crafted compositions. Brian, you did great on that library shot, if you did it
in a hurry.
There's a shot of stone steps done my first time out with the CV 25/4, and
it is located a few Threads below this one. I was close in, set the click stop on 2 meters, and I think the exposure was 1/125 at f5.6. Tho' I had the sun in the
upper left corner, I did not want to lose shadow detail.
The CV 25/4 is very sharp, color rendition and texture are wonderful.
Cheers, mike
