That music sucks ... but it was entertaining to say the least

A while back there was a discussion about this video here on RFF. Most people found it pretty ridiculous but I have to say that I don't think it's that bad.

We're all light!
I laughed, I cried, I thought..."WTF?"
I like Meyerowitz, but this was rather...how to put this politely?...precious. Plays a mean Leica though, and dresses real street.

I thought it was a pretty good and inspiring movie. A little silly perhaps but I can't say I've ever seen someone actually practicing street photography on film (er digital) before.
Honestly, I though it was better and more worthwhile than most of the technical discussions that go on on the web here or elsewhere, I mean someone actually taking photographs, rather than fondling their camera and discussing their next lens purchase or posting pictures of their pet/children, how queer.
Next time I went out shooting after I saw it it made me want to get closer and bob around like a boxer.

i personally think he's a better (urban) landscape photographer. "st. louis and the arch" and "cape light" kick ass.

I liked the action, making a movie showing how to act and what to do at street photographie.
Meetering in the open hand and useing a 28mm on a leica, yeah a black one.
But the photos are not that I want to do,
first of all they should be black & white.
I thought it would be a nice idea to make such a "making off" at our own,
but who is able to use a movie camera?

The funniest aspect to this was ... him darting around basically crooning at his subjects "ooh thats good thats good ... yeah right there"... not exactly stealthy
as I said before very entertaining
especially is commentary of the two people trying to get the table in the taxi and subsequently dropping it.... priceless
