Personally I think painting a camera to change the model is silly. Only a few cameras look better in black, and they are the small variety.
But I have for years been developing a psychadelic spray painting spray painting style of cookie tins, computer cases, and other old metal stuff.
Pink cameras for instance.. there are none !! Not that I would want one, but I understand many people like their stuff pink, some are even women.
Purple cameras must be rare too. Purple has successfully crossed the gender gap, possibly with the help of people like Jimi Hendrix.
My psychedelic style relies on the chemical differences between paint types. When dissimilar paints meet, they go into action, sort of a molecular dance. The results are super novas, lava cracks, and other geo-spatial phenomena.
For instance spraying a thick layer of orange with coating it with silver, and then dropping purple splotches on the surface before the orange completely sets gives a neat effect.
Obviously, spray paint is not up to camera standands, and I am wondering what kind of paint is.
Also I should mention that I think that LOMO is onto something, but that they are not the only artists (as they think they are), and that their capital approach is not artistic in of itself.
