Good luck even getting your framing right with that.

They've had that lens in stock for at least a year. Any clue where you could get a reflex housing?

Ouch. Shipping to Holland would add another 250 euro, at least.

hey, they're only Zorkis
What does, "...THE LENS HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO TOPCON.." mean? The mount? It appears from the photo that the [now threadless] mount has been changed FROM a Canon.LTM? Or does a reflex housing not require threads?
In any case, an interesting chunk of gear. No trouble finding the focus ring on that bad boy, eh? *double eek*

The mount would have to be changed to the Canon/Leica screw-mount, I believe. Also, one would need the reflex focusing unit and the bellows. It would be a pretty expensive undertaking to re-adapt this to Canon.
They do turn up on occasion, and I'd wait for one not "adapted" but original. These were very difficult to use, as even atmospheric conditions could affect focus, from what I've read. I think lenses of this length can be better served with a strong mount on a metal SLR.

I need it.
I need it.
I could use this lens to complete my 800's. Maybe I should talk to Mike once more
I have two of these babies and unfortunately one is missing the focussing wheel and both miss the tripod. The Reflex unit is not the regular reflex unit. It is part of the lens and is bolted to it.

What was this monster lens originally intended for (body wise)?

I occasionally see the Canon Mirror boxes on eBay at not too crazy prices. I think they only take the Canon lenses designed specifically for their front-ends and I am sure these lenses are exceedingly rare. Collecting long focal length lenses and mirror boxes has to be the ultimate deep pocketed activity of rangefinder collectors.

Just for your information

Maybe I made myself not clear, but the 800mm lens has its own specific Mirror Box. At the picture you can see thee 800mm at left and a MB1 with 200mm at the right. The picture isn't sharp, I can try to take a better one if some likes to see it.

Don't know if you've seen this thread (http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37227) I think that Peter K. might be interested in some pictures.....or not, I don't know.

Hello Chad,
Oh yes, Peter loves pictures, but he has high demands
We know each other for some years now and have exchanged serial numbers and findings. I am practising to shot some pictures of my tele collection for him so that they can be used in his books.
Thank you for mentioning him.
KInd regards,
Ernst
