In a thread relating to servicing an M2, one person referrred to the camera as 'she', while another used 'him'.

Are our M cameras male or female and what do you base this on?

Regards

All cameras are Female, that's why among other things they are so beautifull and we do crazy (mad ones in fact!) things just to get them... and keep them.... and even.. get "new" old ones...
It must be Love... so it must be female... They are all She and named that way...

she must be a lady,
she let me know that I have to learn her physics and caprices.

You think you can go out and take some photos?
Than you must know it's sometimes difficult,
you have to learn how she works and you have to adopt her workings.
But if you live some years with her and you're her faithfully husband,
she let you take the worlds best photos.

hmmm.

the M5 would be male...like a big ass Italian hairy-backed grandpa, tatoos and all ;)

Beat me to the punch again!

Bigfoot & Bubba resemble that remark!

Yo, Todd, do we need to translate "red neck" for our EU cousins? :D :)

In Chinese the cameras are female. The first one may be ranked as a wife, the second is the second wife...others are lovers. If a camera was used too much, then some dirty words will appears like that the camera was raped heavily or...

One camera should be excluded I think. That ugly Feb 5(B,C) looks strong and heavy. It must be belong to a male. :)

If only we could figure out a way to make them breed......

Maybe Leica prices are a result of Solms having the same probs as Panda keepers?

Rednecks?

Rednecks?

I work for a Texan company so I have heard the term! Not sure exactly how you might translate it?
