Hi all, once again, please indulge me:

This is the twin brother of the 35 EC that sports a true rangefinder (albeit rather dim, I'd have to do the Rick Oleson trick on this one).

Also like its twin brother, it captures colors beautifully:

No post-processing at all.

And this one is very special to me because it's put together by one of our own Mr. clintock from a dead one that I got from the bay some time ago. This camera is *skillfully* adjusted to modern battery voltage, so it'll stay operational for a long long time.

Needless to say, I love this camera, it's feels very sturdy and robust, and the lens is just beautiful.

It's a relief to see that it works-
Don't you just love the rewind crank on the bottom?
I do wish it had exposure lock like the 35RC, but the exposure control is pretty good I think.

So... that's why some of the indoor shots are extra dark 😛
It doesn't have an exposure lock.

I do love the whole vintage look including the rewind crank at the bottom.

The shutter will close when it thinks it's had enough light, or until you let up on the button, whichever comes first- it may be good only down to some threshold ev anyway.
My ec2 will stay open for up to about five seconds if I block the cell with my finger.

I guess oly was really banking on folks using a flash indoors, with the automatic exposure deal coupled to the lens distance position. Just set the GN on the little thing and fire away..
But who wants to do that? Here's 400 print film in ec2..-

Just for fun, notice the difference in the two in the park. The color one without excessive blatant noise removal via noise ninja, the b/w, over the top noise removal, note the way the pants on the boy became plastic, and an eerie fake 'leica glow' appears.. I kinda like the effect, however fake..

I see, so if I held the button down when I anticipate that I need more light, the shutter will stay open until the meter shuts it off?

I just get some cheap Konica 200ASA films (re-labeled by Dollar General) yesterday, I'll use it to experiment some more, hmmm ... there's more than what it seems with this camera.

I like the colors on the first shot a lot!
I haven't used the noise ninja yet, I usually use Picasa which is surprisingly powerful for minor post-processing.
