I'm posting this here because I couldn't (becouse of rf misalignment) bring my RF to the this trip at all, hence the off topic.
I have never been to San Francisco(or in any place in USA) before. I loved it! I'm certainly going there again. It's a hell of a flight though (about 16 hours from my homeland).
Here are some picture from the trip:

They are mostly black and white street photography and all shot with Fuji F30. Enjoy!

Nice shots, Markus! Crisp photos with fine tonality. Very good, indeed.
PS. I noticed some vignetting-type effects in your photos. How did you produce them?

Very good photos indeed. Fuji F30 jpgs? Impressive. You picked the most beautiful city in the US for your first visit. With your street shooting smarts, you'll love NYC too.

Marcus all I can say is WOW! These are some of the best photos I've seen. I hope you enjoyed your stay in the U.S. and can come back again. Is there any way your website can be read in english? If not the pictures speak for themselves and understood in all languages.

Very nice set. I enjoyed them all but the photo of the VW bug with the hand print was the one I was drawn to the most.
It's nice to see an outsider's perspective of the town I love in. San Francisco is a beautiful, vibrant city with something going on everyday. That's why I live here and why I have my camera with me at all times.

Excellent shots Markus. Can't choose a favourite they are all good. Glad you enjoyed your trip. I went to SF two years ago and loved it. Also went to Vegas and LA. I really enjoy going to the US. In two days time I'm off again, this time to see New York and Boston.
You got excellent quality results from your F30. I'm doing the trip this time very light and going fully digital (sorry guys!). I'll have my F30 with me too but my main shooter is my Canon G7. Got enough cards for about 3000 shots......I think that'll be plenty!

There is no doubt that you are a very talented photographer. I found your SF pics a joy to watch. I was surprised to see some shots with selective DOF even from a small sensor camera.
Thanks for posting!

I noticed that as well
I noticed that as well
He selectively focused on off center items, then moved to take the shot with focus locked. Very impressive.
I have the same P&S, and just finished editing photos to print, and used soft focus in some cases to diffuse the background in some of deep DOF photos. I wish I had the skills of this photographer!

I'm a San Franciscan so I recognize all of the locations that you shot, and I really enjoyed seeing your vision of them.
