I bought a Canon L-1 off the bay and I just got it today. I'm pretty excited to shoot it (still need some glass though). It looks like this will turn out to be a better buy than my nikon S with a transparent shutter. I like the camera though, and it had been serviced prior to being shelved a couple of years ago which is good. I finally have a system RF camera again since my kiev disappeared last year. Another bonus is that its considerably lighter than my F3, and it just has that rangefinder feel.
Speaking of needing a lens though, I've got some stuff up in the for trade section. Have a look and see if anything is worth a lens to you.

Another option, inexpensive and I think a good idea, is to pick up a Jupiter 8 while you look for other lenses.

I was thinking the same thing. Or an I-22 what do you think of that?
I had an I-50 which I liked, but not as much as the J8. The I-50 collapsed deeper than an Leitz Elmar 3.5, I wonder if it will collapse fully into the Canon Body. I don't have it any more so I can't check. The Elmar works fine.

It's an LTM (m39) lens, with an M mount adapter.

ok, so there is just an adapter over the threads.

A good grab. A nice, very nice, lens for this would be an I-61L/D. Very nice tessar look wide open too. Plus even cheaper than a good J-8

I will also second the I - 61 l/d.
it is a wonderful lens for the price you pay for it.
