HU - Here we go again - $1,500 M8?

Thanks for that HU ... I've been agonising over a second M8 body but I'm still on beans and rice from the first one.

I'll get straight on to it!

I e-mailed him I would trade him my 25% share of the Brooklyn Bridge for it.
I am waiting.

When I click the link I get

"This listing (150143271092) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number.
If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it canceled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay"

is it me or is it eBay?

aaaand it's gone.
eBay must have deleted it or something; shame I didn't get to see it while it was still valid.

Out of curiosity, I emailed the seller for the terms and conditions. The following is what I got back.

Greetings!
First of all I thank you for your interest in my product. The product is brand new, factory sealed and come with all accesories in warranty.
Following my interest for my marketplace I propose you a buy it now price: $1500. As you know this price is very low as great offer and oportunity for my customers. More than that the shipping costs will be free for you.The payment will be through Western Union money transfer.Just because of this I set up an insurance with eBay which guaranties 100 % of this deal. If you wish I can contact eBay right away and have them send you an invoice with my insurance.I ship in the same day of payment confirmation except non-working day.I use only UPS services (UPS Next Day air)
Wish a good day!

Then, I told him that the listing had been removed by ebay and if he has more M8 for sale. Here is what I got back from him/her.

So, the Western Union money transfer trick seems to be the way to scam us...

$1500 for an M8? This was a sale by Tony Soprano, you know, like it fell off of a truck in Brooklyn?

OK, not attempting to slam anybody, it's just a joke. At that price it's either a scam or the item was stolen. $1500 for a used RD-1 is a non-zero probability, but this thread made me almost spit my drink onto the keyboard LMAO...

I think you should propose to him you send him a check for $4800, and he can just wire you back the difference ;) See if he bites.

Nigeria?

Nigeria?

He sounds like the same guy who keeps on offering me millions if I accept them into my bank account. His English is very distinct.

I got wind of a Noctilux being sold for about that much. The funky thing was the Western Union bit. Smells like a scam from a mile away...
