Merry Christmas RFFers!

In January I will go again to Istanbul for about a week. Please share some interesting places to visit (it will be my third time, so those "non-tourist" places interest me). And if anybody can tell me the adress of Ara Güler kafeterya I'll be grateful.

Hey, Ara guler's cafe is on Tomtom Mahallesi Tosbag Sokak 8/A Galatasaray Istanbul.
Right across from the historic Galatasaray High School. Go roam the streets of Uskudar, Anadolu Hisari, Anadolu Kavagi, Rumeli Hisari , Rumeli Kavagi. It will probably be nice out. I am here until Jan 20th, let me know if you need any help.

Dig up, I'll be there 19.02-24.02, bit delayed but it could be worse. I plan to spend some time by the sea, photographing fishermen and ferries. Then some old districts, and at least one day on Adalar. If you know some places that could dissapear quickly please guide me. Also modern art galeries are wanted ( I was in Istanbul Modern).

Do not be worry about the disappearing quickly. Istanbul is a very crowded city and you can easily disappear almost every where 🙂. There are lots of museum and galleries in Istanbul and they are spread almost every part of the city. But i recommend to you Nisantası and Beyoglu districts for galleries. Beside the above links, there are lots of small museums and galleries for special interests. For example there is photograph machine museum at Bakirkoy district and name is "Hilmi Nakipoglu Fotograf Makineleri Muzesi".
