There's my Proctor-Silex!
Attached are two images of my Dream lens taken with the lens wide open. The first image is a crop of the second, full image.
The engraving on the wedding band, set on top of the lens, and the lettering on the lens ring are both readable. With the right lighting and careful focusing, a 1/4 point line can be resolved at 20 feet, wide open.
When discussing resolving the lettering and ring engraving in an earlier thread, William asked me to post the original of my avatar, which showed the same resolution. I searched and searched my negs and could not find it. I must have hundreds and hundreds of negative rolls. I must have tossed during a housecleaning. Therefore I shot a new one this afternoon.
The specs are: Tmax 100 f0.95 at 1/1000; distance to subject is about 43 inches; depth of field is less than one inch. There was no USM applied. Only downsizing, cropping, and levels were changed in PS. The negs are a little dark because of a "developing accident".
