OK, maybe not a million dollars as the article hopes for,
but damned valuable for sure.

How many ancient thrift store photos have we passed by without any idea who the people were?

In the California desert town of Hesperia, on the way to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, two brothers found what they make a good argument is
Wyatt Earp's personal photo album.

Who was Wyatt? One of the Wild West's most famous lawmen,
and one of the shooters at the famous OK Corral.

I like the old photographs but not enough to buy them...mostly due to not having any connection to the subjects...
Hesperia is just up the hill from where we live, about 40 miles away...

Actually I used to Know Wyatt Earp--OK not the same one, but his (I think) Great grandson (or some relationship like that). Wyatt was an administrator at the St. Louis V.A. Hospital (Jefferson Barracks) when I was on internship there in the 1970's. I did a double-take when I saw him at his desk with his name plate on the desk. Nice guy, BTW.

I wouldn't know how to reach him today, except through a mutual friend; my wife thinks Wyatt may no longer be with us. I'll see what I can find out. Sue will be able to help.
