I didn't see, that you already bought the R-D1.
You will surely like this camera.
I always liked especially the colors (even up to higher ISO speed) and the wonderful output for BW at ISO1600 (In fact, I set ISO1600 as my standard speed with the R-D1 and only set it slower, when light didn't permit or, when shooting for color).
