This could just be the scotch (and water) talking, but I've had a damn fine day! At work, I'm an elementary school teacher and my class went to an outdoor education center today to learn about the web of life. City kids running around in a forest is just the greatest thing.

Later in the day I found a great deal on photonet (Bessa R2 with 75mm lens for $350), but I missed it, BUT I'm next in line!

I did some printing tonight in my B+W darkroom because I've got some work piling up from weddings earlier this summer and I need some cash for some photo gear aquisition. After finishing the wedding printing (which came out great, I will post a scan of some of those pictures soon) I got to do some printing of personal work I've done over the last 3 months but hadn't printed yet. Well, some of you liked my "Winter Walking" picture, but I think I 've just printed 2 of my best images ever tonight! They're hanging and drying right now and I'll try to scan and post them tomorrow night. The pictures were taken during the summer when my family spent 3 days with my wife's sister's family at a cottage in northern Ontario. Just you guys wait!

To top off the evening, once I got finished my darkroom session, I checked this site ( I spend far too much time here) and found a PM from Ben, the new fellow selling a 50mm CV f2.5 lens. He agreed to an offer I made earlier, on the condition that my other deal doesn't go through (and I doubt it will.)

I wrote a post earlier about being careful about expressing my joy at the high points in life because my experience has been that "life" often kicks me down if I get too high.

Jeez, I hope that doesn't happen to me now!

Got to go to sleep! Tomorrow's another day.

I like Oban or Mcallan 18 year, always neat. Glass of water on the side.

Oban is my calling too. Scotch will not only will it lift your spirits, but it works well as a stop bath too.

Hmmm, maybe if I had a little pop last night I wouldn't be up at 3:30am. Well, there is always tonight.
