I bought the Megaperl 1.15 magnifier from Dirk in Japan for my M6 ttl .58. Wanted it mainly for the adjustable dioptre function and for that purpose alone, it is brillant. It screws in tightly and the dioptre ajustment is very firm-no chance of it being accidently moved. Also I can still see the 28 frame lines which means it stays on permanently. For me, although expensive, it is an absolutely best buy. Highly recommended.

When did you buy it ? I told him that the diopter moved too easily out of position. That was last year ... I had to tape it up so it won't move, just putting the camera back into the bag made it move, or while hanging from my neck ...

I bought mine only a couple of weeks ago. It takes a real effort to shift the dioptre adjustment something which is obviously a real positive. I have read your post previously and am starting to wonder if maybe you got a croc. If yours is a Megaperl, it might be worth an email to Dirk.jcr said:When did you buy it ? I've been a little disappointed with the .58 VF, as I was expecting to see more around the 28 lines. I love it for the 35- that lens lived on the .58 for a long time, but now that I have the ZM28 I find myself wishing for a .46! I should be getting a 21-24-28 VF by UPS today or tomorrow, to give me a better view (I hope).
My intention was to use the .58 for wides, and try using the entire VF for the ZM25 (also finally in UPS!!!), but I don't think that will work. I don't wear glasses (for shooting) so I get a pretty good view of the whole f.o.v. and still find it not enough. I too never could get a handle on the 75 or 90 and especially the 135 with the .72- a .85 will be my next body.
now I really need to get on this grading
