I'm switching from the Kodak powders that make 1 gallon to Ilford powders that only make 1 liter. Searching for a opaque container that contains one liter, I found these:

The Ilford containers for 1 litre fixer, DDX works great, especially with the safely cap. I also use the 4 litre Ilford containers for gallon sized D76.

I used to live in Milwaukee and stopped by that place once in a while. An interesting find! I had the same problem about a year ago, and settled on the black JOBO 1L bottles from B&H...but this would have been a cheaper solution.

I used to work by Fermi Labs and there was a store across the street. I suspect there is a lot of inventory that they don't put on the internet, as there was never a shortage of containers. American Science is where I bought these vials and the LED lights for this:
