So,

I work with my M8's all the time.
I generally shoot shows with them locally, I use the D3 when I need anything over a 90mm (110 on M8). I have a M8.U that is black and more beaten up (lots of scratches on the top plate from banging into other camera's and whatever else while working) and a M8 Silver that is in better shape. Maybe it just doesn't show the wear as much.

Which will fetch more money?
I suppose I'll sell the M8 as it's in better shape. I think the 1/8000th is something that I would like, but I suppose I'll get that with the M9.

I really want to save one for Tele work with the M cameras.
I would use my 75 lux and 90 cron to get closer on the M8.

Who knows, I could also sell both and get 2 m9's and do all my tele work on the D3. The glass is so damn boring with Nikon. I'm on the hunt for some R Lux's, but that's another story, oh and a 180/2 R...

Thanks...

I will keep M8.2 for one reason. The quite shutter sound.
I think M9 doesn't have quite shutter sound like M8.2 nor the sapphire glass. I don't care much about the sapphire glass, but I can't live without the quite shutter sound.

yeah the saddest part about my spelling is i was a double english major in college. since then i was struck with lazyness and prefer to make photos tell the stories, there's no misspelling in a photo. and if there is it isn't my fault!
