If the sun is just out of the frame and you were looking at the guy, you'd be blinded right there anyway. The "defects" are what one might facetiously call the "integrity of the moment." Or whatever. It's a creative expression, not a technical exercise. IMHO.

I kind of like it as-is.

from a road trip we we like the emotion we can get from it. The colours (I would dare to say out of time colours), the sun with its effect, the interior of the car conveys me exactly this emotion. For me this pictures works .
