Hi,
Has anyone here ever laid eyes on the hood for the 100mm f3.5? Does anyone have a picture of one? does anyone want to sell one?

I have the hood (and original box) for the 100/3.5 chrome-and-black lens. Bought it on eBay, years back, when eBay was in its infancy. Small, compact and pretty non-descript. No. i don't want to sell it.

Yes, I posted a picture of the lens with hood in this photo.net thread.
The hood is moderately rare. The 34mm reverse cap that goes on the back of the hood when you reverse it for storage on the lens is really rare.

There are three types of hoods, all of them reversable for storage:
The T42 (clamp-on) for the later all black lens (40mm filter)
A clamp-on hood for the silver-black one (34mm filter)
A screwmount (34mm) with a step-up ring to series-VII filter (46mm?) for the silver-black lens as well. My has the reverse cap as well (old Canon writing)
All of them showing up rarely without lenses.

The 34mm adapter is to Series VI. The later 36mm screw-clamp Series VI adapter was used with the same hood. There might even have been some of the hoods shipped with the 36mm slip-on adapter, but they would scratch up the black paint.
There are reverse caps for the 34mm threads, and for the 36mm slip-on adapter. There's no reverse cap for the clamp-screw adapter.
