Canon LTM 100 3.5 needs help

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
i just got it back from DAG. nice and clean and smoother now that hes gone through it. tomorow ill take some pics with it, finally.

Wow! Was that really under 1 week? Amazing! What does a lens CLA by DAG run? (roughly)

Thanks. That's very reasonable. And very fast. My 100/3.5 is coming in the mail soon and IF it needs help, I'm glad to know where to go.

The entire lens module unscrews. I used a piece of rubber grip mat used under rugs. Grasp the focus ring and use the rubber on the black ring. Mine was in very tight. I only needed to clean the middle elements, so I cannot tell you how to access the front one.

When remounting the optical unit, please make sure it's re-tightened with the same power. First to avoid loosing, second to avoid focussing errors. There are mis-aligned 100/3.5 out there. Next, do not change optical units when dismounting more than one of this kind. This is why mounts and bodies are marked with Japanese letters. It looks like Canon had a 100% quality control back then...

Erik,

Ignore my last pm to you. You have stated the cost. Thanks.

I need to get my 100/3.5 cleaned. There is a milky layer.

Well, my 100/3.5 arrived and I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the condition of a lens rated "Bargain" by KEH - Painfully clean and just tiny marks on the front element that are I have no idea what, but I'm not going to run my fingers over it to find out if it's dust or tiny pits... but so tiny I can only see them at an angle in bright light.

Took it out for a shoot on Saturday, finished the roll Sunday. I'm well pleased.

My only gripe is the looseness of the click-less aperture ring. It moves a bit TOO freely, allowing the f/stop to change when my finger brushed against it while I was focusing it's very long throw. But for under $150, what a Jupiter 9 is going for these days, I'm happy!
