I've got a nice all-black 100/ 3.5 LTM lens that I think is out of focus. Can a competant tech person adjust this? Is it relatively easy to do so?

Thanks,
Bill

I am curious to see if there are any differences between the latter version and the earlier one. Previously, I was told the later version is a stellar performer. I'm very happy with the images from the chrome version and want to know if the later version brings it up a notch or it's just groundless speculation based on rarity rather than performance.

Cheers,

Hi Benny,
This is interesting. I bet, the black version is not any better optically than the chrome version. I find my chrome lens stellar.

Raid,

I think so too. Once I get hold of one, we'll be able to do a comparison shoot to see if there are any differences in sharpness, contrast and color in a controlled condition. Would certainly be fun to try that!

Cheers,

p.s Have you got your book from Peter yet?

Yes, I have.It is a good book to read through. It also creates GAS for Canon lenses.
I am already about to buy two Canon lenses.

Tell me about it man!!! I'm sure the book will create a shift in the current prices as well as drive up the prices for Serenar version of the lenses. Also, I have never thought much (or highly) about lens collecting (vs. photography) in the past. Now, it has a slightly different perspective.

I have several incoming too!!! Regrettably, this is a very busy time of the year for me and I don't have much time to play with the new lenses. The itch is killing me!

Cheers,

I have always preferred old lenses over modern lenses for photography, so I already have quite a few lenses in LTM.
I will get a 19mm lens soon and maybe also a 100/2.0.
I really should be selling my Canon 85/1.9.
It looks super cool and shingy, and it is sharp.
I now have Canon tele: 85mm/1.5 85mm/1.9 100mm/3.5
