Dear friends --

I have been on this forum for quite some time, have learned a lot and made some great new friends! This time I need your help getting a photo book off the ground.

From day 1 to day 100 of the Trump presidency, I have been going to all protests in Washington D.C. (where I live) to document them with my camera. Of the thousands of photos that I have taken (on Ilford FP4 with my M4s), I have down selected the best 100 that I want to publish as a photo book. 100 photos for the first 100 days in office. To finance the print run of the book, I have set up a Kickstarter campaign which I was hoping you will check out and, who knows, even support:

Thanks for your help!

Politics? I can't see many Trump supporters buying in so you've already cut 45% of your market out :D

Supporting another photographer should transcend politics. No matter what your political bend is, he is someone who has invested, pardon the pun, a huge! amount of time collecting a preparing the images for publication. I live in the city George Bush Sr. called "Little Beruit" due to the nature of our protest. To me, it's about a fellow photographer and his efforts to capture a moment in history.

Protest photography is the biggest cliche since selfies.

I suppose you've never heard of that darn first amendment of the constitution, which has been part of the fabric of American life since 1791. I'm happy to see that protesting is still a thing Americans not only can do, but aren't afraid to do.

Beyond that, agree or disagree with their ideas, the photos are documenting actual events. I think anybody interested in history should be interested in having a copy of this book for the future.

Here's a few more pictures from the marches. Please keep it clean, I don't want us to get into political cat flights. This is photo journalism, nothing else. ;)

Hi all!

Making good progress in achieving our fundraising goal! $2,200 have been pledged so far, with two weeks to go.

I've been busy getting quotes from book printers and we are working on the layout of the book. 100 pictures representing 100 days of protests against Trump, plus text. My niece Lucia Canton, who is working on her graduate degree in human rights, has written some fantastic text for the book that will put the "100 days of protests" into a historical context.

Please keep supporting our Kickstarter campaign so we can reach our goal and tell all your friends! And don't forget, the next birthday, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc, is coming up, so feel free to buy a book or two as a gift :D

Thanks,
Stefan
